Job Overview:

We are looking for a Data Governance Specialist to join our team and focus on building a robust Data Governance Framework that enables the business to operate more efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing both business and technical rules to measure and ensure data quality across daily data pipelines. You will be working with a wide variety of consumer products, such as credit cards, personal loans, and deposits, and collaborating with various business and technology teams to continuously improve data governance practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a comprehensive data governance framework by designing and implementing business and technical rules to measure and ensure data quality across multiple data pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards in Tableau to report on data health at various levels.
  • Collaborate closely with business partners and technology leaders to identify and prioritize key areas for data quality improvements.
  • Facilitate and arbitrate data quality issue resolution across business and technology stakeholders, including external vendors, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any data quality concerns.


Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more mainstream programming languages (Python, Java, C, Scala, C++, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and SQL.
  • Experience working with databases such as Oracle, Sybase IQ, Snowflake, Hadoop, etc.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with visualization tools like Tableau.
  • At least 2 years of experience dealing with data (both structured and unstructured).
  • Strong ability to explain data analysis and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • A strong sense of ownership, with a drive to manage tasks to completion.
  • Interest in applying your technical expertise to the Financial Services industry.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in implementing data governance frameworks for large-scale systems.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in data governance, data quality, and data management.
  • Experience with building and optimizing data pipelines for quality assurance.
