Application Support Specialist


As an Application Support Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring seamless operation and support for proprietary trading systems and assisting traders in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This role combines technical troubleshooting, software deployment, configuration, and proactive system monitoring. You’ll collaborate closely with highly skilled Software Developers and Traders to tackle new technical challenges in a dynamic trading environment.


Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in application support.
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., multicast, TCP, routing).
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Hands-on experience in Linux and/or Windows environments.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Client-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Quick learner with enthusiasm for new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage time-sensitive tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently.
  • Willingness to work on a rotating schedule (including nights and early mornings).


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering exceptional production support, deploying and configuring software, and conducting proactive system monitoring to prevent potential issues.
  • Supporting proprietary trading applications in a multi-platform production environment.
  • Resolving technical issues during trading operations to ensure uninterrupted performance of mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborating with traders and research teams to analyze and optimize trading strategies.
