We are currently looking for a Power Platform Developer to join our team, in the Calgary office.


Reporting to the Team Lead-Liability and Closure, the Power Platform Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to the Liability and Closure team by developing, improving, and maintaining applications, automations, and solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Build applications, automate workflows, and analyze data to improve the overall efficiency of liability management at Tourmaline.
  • Examples of the above work include:
  • Building applications designed to: manage the collection of well/site data, track activities/site statuses, automate workflows, and calculate asset retirement/closure obligations.
  • Building reports designed to: communicate information to internal stakeholders, manage/analyze financial capital, drive efficiencies in project management and planning, understand risk, analyze effectiveness of new technology, and verify internal data.
  • Work with other internal developers and data analysts to build off and improve existing tools.
  • Ensure proper data governance through integration with the Tourmaline Information Technology Systems (ITS) data team.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:


  • 2+ years experience with Microsoft Power Platform applications such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, and Power Query.
  • Experience with data and automation ecosystems such as SQL or Python considered an asset.
  • Experience in oil and gas considered an asset.
  • Ability to assess business gaps, problem solve, and provide effective solutions.
  • Team oriented individual with a drive for providing effective support and ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Can work independently in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized with an appreciation for tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to respond quickly to queries.
