We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Warranty Specialist to join our team. The Warranty Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating all warranty-related activities for our multi-family building projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction, design, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections throughout the ‘finishing’ stage of projects to identify potential issues before they become warranty claims. Provide feedback to the construction and development teams to improve quality and prevent recurring problems. Manage the rectification of the defects with the contractor / trades people.
- Warranty Management: Oversee and manage the warranty program for multi-family buildings, including tracking warranty periods, coordinating repairs, and addressing resident concerns related to warranty claims.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for residents and property managers regarding warranty issues. Provide timely and effective communication to resolve concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and assess warranty claims to determine validity and scope of work. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and maintenance teams to schedule and oversee necessary repairs or replacements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all warranty claims, repair requests, and communications. Prepare detailed reports on warranty issues and resolutions for management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all warranty work is performed in accordance with company standards, industry regulations, and contractual obligations. Monitor compliance with warranty terms and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Property Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warranty management, property management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of multi-family construction and building systems.
- Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warranty management software.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Property Manager) are a plus.
