Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as a Project Manager of Business Development at APS Global Partners Inc. The role involves business planning, sales, project management, communication, and utilizing analytical skills to support entrepreneurs in their start-up journey.

Responsibilities

  • Set project timeline
  • Monitor project deliverables
  • Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project's progress
  • Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
  • Manage multiple-size projects from beginning to end.
  • Define project scope, charter, goals, and deliverables in support of business goals and work with senior leadership for approvals.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time and meet all business and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct all project management tasks to ensure schedule, cost, and quality goals are met.
  • Leverage the expertise of a Senior Project Manager and team to ensure the project scope is well documented and managed properly throughout the delivery cycle of the project.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and work breakdown structures for projects.
  • Communicate project status, progress on deliverables, and risks/issues to leadership in a timely manner.
  • Discuss and prioritize project issues with the leadership, and provide support to the project team as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, software engineers, developers, and technical leads to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Maintain project tracking and provide status reports to senior leadership.


Qualifications

  • Business Planning, Sales, and Communication skills
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Project Management and Analytics
  • Experience in business development and entrepreneurship
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Communications or related field
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management.

  • Preference for experience working in business incubators.
  • Good understanding of Quality Assurance.
  • Strong communication skills including presentations, emails, and documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Technical knowledge.
  • French is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian start-up ecosystem is a plus
