Job Summary

Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer, the Banner Manager will be responsible for the leadership and development of the United Floors Banner, which is comprised of independent retailers located throughout English speaking Canada and bound to Cantrex Nationwide (CNW) through a Banner Agreement. Working closely with a Membership Advisory Council (MAC) and suppliers, the Banner Manager will develop and direct progressive and effective marketing strategies and will be responsible for the operations of the banner. The incumbent is also responsible for overseeing employees and will work closely with the stores and the Financial Department.

Qualifications Required


  • Minimum of 7 years retail program management experience in the Floor Covering Industry;
  • University education in marketing, merchandising or related fields;
  • Experience managing structured networks;
  • Good understanding of financial terms;
  • Proven experience as a strong negotiator with suppliers;
  • Strong communicator in English, written and spoken;
  • French communication, oral and written, an asset;
  • Strong presentation skills;
  • Intermediate computer skills in Word, Excel and Power-Point;
  • Hands-on manager and strategic thinker;
  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 30% of the time.
