Architectural Sales Representative

Lexsuco Corporation has been contributing to the Canadian building industry since 1961. Proud to be Canadian owned and operated, we develop and market new technologies for commercial roofing and building envelope applications.
Lexsuco is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Architectural Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing key relationships with architects, consultants, and specifiers in the construction industry, with a primary focus on roofing and waterproofing solutions. This is a field-based position that requires strong sales acumen, technical knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients.
As an Architectural Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by presenting our innovative product solutions, addressing customer needs, and helping to secure new projects. The ideal candidate will be an independent, self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Account Management and Growth:
- Actively manage key accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including architects, consultants, general contractors (GCs), and other decision-makers in the commercial construction design field.
- Proactively prospect and develop new business opportunities
- Promote Lexsuco’s products and systems to the specifying community, using your technical expertise and supporting marketing materials.
- Deliver product presentations (both pre-developed and custom), via face-to-face meetings, lunch & learns, and webinars, to keep clients up-to-date on industry trends and innovations.
· Project Tracking:
- Generate, track and follow up on project leads to ensure timely submissions for project quotes.
· Industry Networking & Knowledge Sharing:
- Attend industry events, such as those given by CSC, IIBEC, OBEC, and other relevant associations, to network, stay informed on industry trends, and promote Lexsuco's solutions.
- Stay current on product innovations and industry advancements by collaborating with Lexsuco’s technical team and other manufacturers’ technical representatives.
Qualifications:
· Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- 3-5 years of client-facing experience, preferably in the construction or building materials industry (commercial roofing/waterproofing experience is a plus).
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving business growth.
· Technical Skills:
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn and communicate complex product and system solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). CRM proficiency is an asset.
· Sales & Communication Skills:
- Exceptional sales acumen, including negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex technical solutions in a clear and persuasive manner
· Self-Management & Independence:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Highly disciplined and self-motivated, with a proven ability to manage a flexible schedule and work independently
· Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (road trips, client meetings, industry events).
