This role offers the opportunity to work with major utilities and energy providers to deliver innovative technology solutions that optimize grid efficiency and sustainability.

Position Overview

This is a true hunter role for a driven sales professional who thrives on prospecting, opening new accounts, and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of experience in solution sales and excels at identifying leads, penetrating new markets, and closing high-value deals.

The individual in this role will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in Alberta, British Columbia, and Western Canada, driving sales growth through relentless pursuit of new clients and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively hunt for new business, identifying and pursuing opportunities with utilities, municipalities, and energy providers in Alberta, British Columbia, and Western Canada.
  • Build a strong sales pipeline by leveraging industry knowledge, networking, and targeted outreach.
  • Engage and develop relationships with key decision-makers, executives, and procurement teams.
  • Lead full-cycle sales engagements, from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiations, and contract closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, and marketing) to craft tailored solutions that meet client needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to stay ahead in the market.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to generate leads and build a strong presence in the region.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in solution sales, with a proven ability to prospect, sell, and close new business.
  • Strong track record of hunting and winning new customers in technical sales environments.
  • Experience selling to utilities, smart grid, energy management, or industrial technology markets is highly preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive results in a fast-paced, competitive market.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% within Western Canada.
  • French proficiency is a plus but not required.
