Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and monitor maintenance staff and maintenance contractors working in the facility.
  2. Provide ongoing preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility, building, building systems, fire/safety equipment, and medical equipment.
  3. Oversee and approve all necessary repairs, maintain accurate records and logs, and produce required reports.
  4. Inspect maintenance work for quality, safety, and compliance.
  5. Maintain a clean, safe working environment (workshop).
  6. Verify daily logs of refrigerator temperatures.
  7. Validate daily test and logs of water temperatures within the facility.
  8. Mandate and observe budgetary guidelines regarding supplies and services and follow proper procedures as it relates to the purchase order system and approval before ordering supplies.
  9. Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
  10. Act as chairperson for the Safety Committee.
  11. Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
  12. Assure compliance with State and Federal Regulatory codes.

Qualifications

  1. High school graduate or equivalent; college graduate a plus.
  2. Must have at least 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role.
  3. General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, roofing, and grounds.
  4. General knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization, and administration.
  5. Must exercise considerable independent judgment.
  6. Ability to exercise tact and courtesy in contacts with facility staff, contractors, and the general public.
