**Job Overview**

The Junior Regional Maintenance Technician, reporting into the Director, Care Center and Maintenance is responsible for playing a crucial role in inspecting and maintaining crematory machinery within the designated region. This entry-level position involves executing preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnosing issues with equipment. The Junior Regional Maintenance Technician will also contribute to general maintenance tasks for various building systems, ensuring optimal functionality. This position requires heavy travel (up to 80% of the time) and involves working in diverse environments, including varying temperatures, high noise, and high heat conditions.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Conduct inspections to ensure the secure and proper functioning of crematory machinery.
- Isolate and diagnose systems or components causing problems.
- Operate testing equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services and replace worn parts proactively.
- Utilize power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools for repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance manager, review work orders, and discuss work progress.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturer's specifications.
- Provide feedback to the maintenance manager on work performed, equipment condition, and future repair requirements.
- Plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals.
- Conduct general repairs that do not require specialized technicians.
- Perform routine maintenance on building systems.
- Assist with facility upkeep and cleanliness.
- Order necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
- Complete detailed reports to record problems and work performed.
- Train on-site personnel in crematory maintenance basics and efficient machine operation.

**Education, Training & Qualifications**
- High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Technician trade certification is a plus.
- One year of maintenance experience, including troubleshooting.
- Understanding/Knowledge of HVAC, refractory, controls, or PLC.
- Understanding/Knowledge of electrical schematics, multimeters, and manometers.
- Knowledge of general maintenance and repair.
- Valid Driver’s License.

**Working Conditions**
- Heavy travel (up to 80% of the time).
- Frequent bending and lifting (minimum weight of 65 lbs.).
- Exposure to varying temperatures (heat and cold).
- Regular bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting, repetitive motion, hand/wrist/finger motion.
- Regular exposure to high noise and high heat environments.
