Job Purpose:

This person plays a key role in surpassing guest expectations and providing an incredible culinary experience that inspires guests to keep coming back for more. The Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality, delicious food in a thoughtful, consistent, and timely manner according to Pearle Hospitality’s high standards and understand the organization’s dedication to producing delicious food made from quality ingredients and cooking with conviction.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Deliver above and beyond guest experiences through the execution of high-quality and delicious food, while highlighting genuine and thoughtful hospitality.
  2. Excellent knife skills.
  3. Accept and perform additional tasks as required for optimal performance of the restaurant.
  4. Actively represent and promote Pearle Hospitality’s core values within the workplace.
  5. Act as an ambassador of Bardo and Pearle Hospitality.
  6. Follow company policies and procedures as defined and outlined by Pearle Hospitality.
  7. Follow all Health and Safety standards to ensure a safe work environment for all guests and team members.
  8. Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitization practices.
  9. Maintain professional appearance and act with integrity and honesty.

What we would like you to bring to the position:

  1. Food Handler Certification.
  2. WHMIS Certification.
  3. Communication: Listen attentively to direction from Executive Chef and Sous Chef and communicate with other Cooks to ensure meal components are being produced on time and to standard.
  4. Adaptability: Ability to remain poised and professional in a fast-paced environment and positively interact with a variety of diverse guests and team members.
  5. Attention to detail: Produce menu items to expectations of guests and remain mindful of any specific accommodations noted for the dish, including any allergies or dietary restrictions.
  6. Positive attitude: Exhibit a passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn from kitchen leaders and other team members.
