About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager at Plooto, you will play a key role in leading the development of financial tools that revolutionize how small businesses operate. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams company-wide, leveraging customer data and feedback to delight small business customers through the launch of new payment methods and partnerships. You will shape the future of our products and actively execute your vision.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Product to shape the payment vision and strategy that will enable Plooto to excel in the market and establish competitive advantages.
  • Identify and execute strategic opportunities to expand Plooto’s Total Addressable Market by validating new market segments, customer pain points, and new product features.
  • Engage with third-party payment vendors and banking partners to explore growth and expansion opportunities within Canada and internationally.
  • Establish and own OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) and a product roadmap aligned with the overall company strategy.
  • Utilize data-driven insights by collecting and analyzing transactional and payment data to understand pain points and identify opportunities to scale the system and drive revenue growth.
  • Utilize expertise in backend payment systems to collaborate with technical teams, interpret API documentation, and propose scalable solutions to address business requirements.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from end-users, stakeholders, and others to shape requirements, features, and products.
  • Define, drive, and own the product roadmap, working closely with engineers and designers to execute your vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing to effectively communicate product launches to customers and with internal stakeholders regarding your products.
  • Collaborate with Risk, Finance, and Compliance teams to vet new initiatives and identify potential risks and legal considerations.
  • Manage the product life-cycle from ideation through to go-to-market execution.
Your Background
  • At least 5 years of experience in product strategy and execution, including 2-5 years of experience specifically in the payment industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to use data to drive insights.
  • Solid understanding of backend payment systems, collaborating with technical teams and interpreting API documentation to propose scalable solutions.
  • Proven experience in optimizing payment routing strategies and managing relationships with third-party vendors in B2B/B2C payment markets.
  • Solid experience in a product function, leveraging quantitative and qualitative feedback to prioritize and design software features.
  • Experience working with payment service providers and banking partners (e.g., Adyen, Stripe, etc.).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality experiences to users.
  • Ability to empathize with users and understand their perspectives.
