About this role

The Senior Product Manager at Squadformers leads by example and sets the tone for their Squad. Our ideal candidate has a passion for leading creative minds in our shared goal to meet or exceed our client’s expectations and building remarkable products. Your track record speaks for itself as you are able to translate customers’ and users’ needs into engaging and innovative solutions. At Squadformers, you will make an immediate impact in building products that users love. You are able to tap into your strong technical acumen as well as your keen eye for design.

This is a contractor role, with the expectation to work 20-30 hours per week for 4-5 months, with the potential to grow into a FTE role.

What you will be doing:

  • Drive your team to hitting key results for our clients while serving as the main interface between your Squad and partner stakeholders.
  • Define and execute the Squad roadmap, consolidating partner needs, industry trends, independent research, and technical constraints into a high-level and strategic plan of action.
  • Write technical specifications for developers for the creation of new features and maintain internal documentation of product releases.
  • Develop features and create content which drives organic growth to web and other digital properties.
  • Monitor, react to, and grow important audience KPIs such as daily user retention, time on site, RPC, and organic traffic.
  • Eagerness to dive in and help where needed, from writing technical tickets to manually QA-ing recent releases.
  • Possess sincere empathy for the customer as well as a commitment to deeply delve into the challenges they present as well as explore the creative avenues possible.
  • Contribute your own passion, flair and ideas as you collaborate closely with engineering and design to discover effective solutions, and then work together to deliver those solutions to market.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Product Manager experience.
  • Proven success bringing a product from concept through delivery/deployment while leading a talented technical team.
  • Proven ability to meet/beat deadlines while always managing to superior quality and delivery based on customer specs.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail, follow up and time management which enables you to stay on task-on target as you lead a design team from product concept through delivery to our customers.
  • Strong ability to execute at a very detailed level while always aligning with the big picture.
  • Experience managing a remote and diverse product development/design team.
  • Innate passion to be excellent, be curious and to share your passion with your team as you work together to WOW our clients
  • A degree is not required. We value diversity and will review any candidate within the US, Mexico, Canada, even South America, as long as you can commit to working in the PST time zone (or close to it).
