Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving sales growth. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to negotiate effectively. Responsibilities

  • Generate new and repeat sales related to Controls depot product offering. You may need to be present at job showings, follow in house procedures to issue estimates, tenders and proposals.
  • Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
  • Provide quarterly sales forecast for key accounts and strategic manufacturer.
  • Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
  • Setup and maintain customer files
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions. Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Assist in the development and implementation sales presentations for customers and consultants.
  • Visit consulting engineers on a regular basis to present Controls Depot solutions, with the purpose of obtaining Controls Depot specified on new opportunities.
  • Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
  • Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and quotes.
  • Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery.
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
  • Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products.
  • You are accountable for the estimate and its accuracy. Be diligent with the shop drawing process and its issues dealt with in a timely matter.
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
  • Continuous learning is very important for your success, a minimum of 40 hours of training is required annually from a accredited program or directly from a manufacturer. Copy of the training will be review during the annual performance review.
  • Other operational task might be required from time to time such as helping with walk-in customer, store opening, shipping and receiving or other related duty.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with customers.
  • Familiarity with business development strategies and techniques.
  • Experience in technical sales is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software such as Salesforce for tracking sales activities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and exceeding client expectations.
