Position Summary: Results-driven Business Development Manager to execute project specification and sales in the building materials industry. Proven track record in meeting with architects, designers, builders, and developers to specify and sales Quartz, Solid surface, Porcelain and Resilient PVC Flooring materials for commercial projects. Adept at managing relationships, understanding client needs, and driving sales growth. Strong background in project management, product specification, and customer service. The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new relationships with Quartz and Stone Fabricators, Millwork shops and Flooring Contractors as well as maintaining existing relationships by providing customer service, updates, and sample maintenance. Always looking for new venues to promote our company and product, the Business Development Manager uses his/her resources to find new ways to bring sales to the company. This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge and understanding of our products, and excellent communication and marketing skills.

Role Description:

Responsible for project specification and sales in ON (mainly Greater Toronto Area).

Strong focus on commercial market, i.e. Fabricators, Interior Designers, Architects, Millworks customers, Flooring Contractors etc.

Obtain understanding of competitors and key trends in our industry and understand marketing dynamics.

Work in a team environment as well as be self-reliant.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


Achieve annual sales goals based upon business plan.

Foster and build Key customer relationships to create market share growth and preferred customer value.

Administrative responsibilities, i.e. Salesforce, Tip-Top, g-UAS for expenses, etc.


Education and Work Experience:

Prefer at least 5 years of experience in project specifications and sales of building materials such as quartz, solid surface, porcelain and resilient PVC flooring products

Direct experience working with architects, designers, builders, developers, contractors, fabricators, kitchen dealers/remodelers, etc.


Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills

Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

The energy and focus to achieve goals and be results driven

Ability to work and think independently

Ability to perform as a team player, working with others to achieve a common goal


Physical Demands:


Position requires sitting at a desk working on a computer for 25% of time

Position requires minimal lifting up to 45 pounds

Position requires regular and reliable attendance

Position requires travel up to 60-80% of time throughout territory
