Our client within the insurance industry is seeking a bilingual Claims Processor in Winnipeg, MB. This role will be a contract until Dec 2024, potential to stay on.
As a Bilingual Claims Processor, you will play a crucial role in the operations team, handling claims efficiently and accurately while providing outstanding customer service. Your ability to communicate fluently in English and French will ensure clients receive the support and guidance they need during their claims process. You will handle a lot of administration and some client services in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to phone and email queries about specific claims or general policy/legal issues, including dealing with minor beneficiaries and estates.
- Interact with bereaved families, Group Clients, Lawyers, Physicians, and Business Development for claim requirements or decisions.
- Process claim payments: calculate interest, update tracking systems, prepare cheque requisitions via Prolific, handle tax documentation, and manage payment communications.
- Independently evaluate Basic Life, Supplemental Life, and Paid Up Certificates for Retired and Dependents
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative and customer service experience within a corporate environment
- Must be bilingual in French and English
- Effectively determine and satisfy customer needs in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
- Ability to manage the pressures of deadlines & fluctuating work volumes
