Job Responsibilities



  • Project Management: Coordinate and lead MMV and LCA activities for Pilots and commercial CCS projects, with a focus on planning, budgeting, and maintaining project timelines.
  • Baseline Data Collection: Develop baseline data on soil, water, atmospheric, and reservoir conditions, ensuring comprehensive monitoring for CCS storage integrity.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that all projects adhere to Directive 065 (D65) and other regional regulatory standards as applicable, maintaining thorough documentation for audits.
  • Consultant Oversight: Manage external consultants responsible for monitoring, data collection, and analysis, ensuring deliverables align with project goals and regulatory expectations.
  • Technical Reporting: Conduct data analysis and produce detailed MMV and LCA reports, effectively communicating findings to stakeholders as part of the broader team.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in CO₂ capture, transportation, and storage, recommending best practices and mitigative actions. Tie bespoke MMV solutions to identified risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with regulatory bodies, local communities, and industry partners, maintaining transparent communication and building supportive relationships.


Qualifications



  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in CCS, MMV, LCA, or a similar field, with strong project management experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MMV and LCA software (e.g., GaBi, SimaPro) and familiarity with industry-standard analytical tools (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB).
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: Working knowledge of Directive 065 (D65) and or other CCS-related guidelines within Canada.
  • Preferred Experience: Certification in PMP, CCS, GHG quantification, or LCA, with hands-on experience in DAC or CCS projects.
