We are currently seeking a Process Project Engineer for a contract role based in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of engineering, procurement, and construction projects, ensuring that they are completed safely, efficiently, and within budgetary constraints. This role requires a motivated, experienced professional with strong leadership skills who can work with minimal supervision and deliver results.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate engineering activities related to construction and brownfield projects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop detailed project scopes, timelines, and budgets.
  • Project Execution: Provide technical expertise and support throughout all phases of project execution, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate safety and project integrity risks.
  • Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identify deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Compliance & Stakeholder Engagement: Interface with regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.



Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Registration: Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of engineering and project leadership experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and project management methodologies.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Multitasking Ability: Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Safety & Stewardship: Strong commitment to safety, environmental management, and sustainable development.
  • Preferred Background: Process engineering experience is considered an asset.
