- Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Project Manager receives technical and functional guidance, while providing leadership and direction to the project team.
- Serves as the primary point of contact with the client and senior management throughout the project, maintaining continuous communication to ensure clarity and alignment on objectives.
- Engages with key stakeholders including suppliers, subcontractors, and governmental agencies to ensure smooth collaboration and adherence to project timelines.
- Builds and maintains a management-level network with all involved entities, such as joint ventures or consortium partners, to foster strong project execution.

- Oversees the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs, ensuring that both office and field operations comply with all applicable regulations and laws.
- Leads project financial management efforts, overseeing cash flow, budget controls, and non-reimbursable project costs, minimizing the use of company capital resources.
- Ensures smooth transition and final turnover to the client, securing final acceptance and delivering a comprehensive final project report.
- Manages relationships with CLAC union and employees: Supports Alberta and British Columbia collective agreements, ensuring labor peace and harmony on the project. Facilitates recruitment efforts and leverages the CLAC network for future projects.
Skills & Experience:
- 15+ years of proven experience in the delivery of construction/EPC/EPCM project management, experience with SMPEI best practices, constructability, risk analysis, and proposal review.
- Ability to lead, organize, and staff a project team within a matrix organization.
- Expertise in project controls, fiscal management, and the use of standard office tools and project automation systems.
- Strong knowledge of project execution planning, baseline development, and contracts/subcontracts formulation, including risk analysis, negotiations, and change control management.
- Experience with project insurance, cross-functional interfaces, supply chain management, and quality control.
- Business and commercial awareness, with expertise in cash flow management, currency strategies, and resource conservation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of managing effective client and team relationships.
- Experience working with labor unions, particularly CLAC, and ensuring labor harmony within project teams, with a deep understanding of Alberta and British Columbia labor agreements.
