Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing food manufacturer specializing in freeze-dried products. They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to join their team in British Columbia.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Proactively identify and secure new customers within the pet food manufacturing, private label, and retail sectors.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to drive new business opportunities and revenue growth in the freeze-dried pet food and treat industry.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive markets, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product development and expansion.
  • Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with R&D and production teams to develop new product offerings tailored to client needs.
  • Revenue & Performance Metrics: Set and achieve aggressive sales goals, measured by new account acquisitions, annual revenue targets, and lead conversions.
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead negotiations and finalize sales contracts that align with company objectives and client needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Industry Expertise: Prior experience in B2B sales—ideally within the pet food ingredients, pet treat industry, or a similar sector.
  • Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to develop and close deals, meet or exceed sales targets, and grow customer accounts.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to shape sales strategies.
  • Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: A driven professional with a hunter mentality who thrives in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, and production teams to align sales efforts with business goals.
