Company Description
Examples of the tasks to be accomplished by the Junior Project Manager may include:
Travel Coordination Support.

Day-to-day support to DLCPM 4 travel coordination to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Process travel requests in accordance with DND and Treasury Board travel directives;
  • Maintain travel tracker; and
  • Provide liaison between the team and the Travel Cell.

HQ Coordination and Support:

  • Liaison and coordination with the Business Management Team;
  • Support the second in command for reports, returns, and other remits; and
  • Represent the team at building and facility meetings.

Qualifications Mandatory**A minimum of a College diploma or University Degree in Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Project Management, Business Administration or another suitable engineering or technical field.

A minimum of 4 years of experience performing 7 of the following 9 tasks:

  • Working as a project manager for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  • Preparing and presenting technical and management documents.
  • Management of stakeholders and communications in a project context.
  • Managing project finances for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  • Managing the project scope for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  • Managing project schedules for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  • Performing risk management for projects in excess of $1M per year expenditure.
  • Drafting correspondence and making recommendations on the acceptance or rejection of deliverables.
  • Preparing Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs).

Nice-to-Have
An active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
