This position will provide strategic leadership and operational expertise for the Mental Health Review Board.

The Manager, Finance and Operations is responsible for supporting all services at the British Columbia Mental Health Review Board, including complex customer service, program and project management, external facing performance management, and internal business analysis.


Reporting to the Chair, the Manager, Finance and Operations is responsible to establish and carry out strategic direction and operations regarding the finance, business, systems, and administration of the Mental Health Review Board to ensure client needs and statutory requirements are met.


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration, accounting, information systems, related field or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years related experience*. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience* in all the following:
  • Experience leading and coaching a multi-disciplinary team in an operational or service delivery environment;
    AND:
  • Experience in change management of complex finance and information systems;
    AND:
  • Experience with issues management including responding to a broad range of customer complaints;
    AND:
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and business processes.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing financial and contracted resources.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business and strategic planning.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in policy and/or interpretation of legislation.
  • Experience leading and managing projects.
  • Experience in planning and performance measurement.
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships with executives.

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • policy experience in a business environment.
- planning and performance measurement experience in the public sector.

About this Position:

This position is part time hours biweekly).
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
