The Opportunity


Terra is seeking a Receptionist and Administrative Coordinator who will work alongside our students, families, and educators to ensure the daily operations of the school.

The Role

As the Receptionist and Administrative Coordinator, you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of Terra's school culture, and what sets us apart from other early learning centers.
  • Foster warm and trusting relationships with families and community members.
  • Connect and engage in collaborative partnerships with fellow educators, colleagues, leaders, families, and the greater community.
  • Manage student and staff onboarding processes such as creating and sending letters and organizing uniform fittings.
  • Schedule and host virtual and inperson tours with interested families.
  • Support and communicate with educators, principal, and team in maintaining and updating school processes and procedures.
  • Perform administration duties such as establishing and maintaining employee, student, and business files and records, processing invoices, and receiving incoming mail and phone calls.
  • Manage and calculate expenses, budgets, and tuition, including managing benefits.
  • Set up and maintain office systems including ordering supplies and keeping track of inventory.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors.
  • Coordinate, support, and organize staff and community events.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities where necessary.

The Qualifications

As the Receptionist and Administrative Coordinator, you have:

  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Have a passion for building and maintaining relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Highly resourceful teamplayer, with the ability to work independently.
  • A passion for people and strong ability to build authentic and trusting relationships with all community members.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A growth mindset, recognizing opportunities for learning and growth daily.
  • Experience working with children and in an administrative role is an asset.
  • A commitment to learn, apply, champion, and embody Terra's Values, Mission, and Vision.
  • Ability to thrive in a creation, growthstage environment.
  • Canadian citizenship and/or are legally permitted to work in Canada.

Commitment

  • 40 hours per week
