Prepare and deliver Business Writing courses emphasizing the writing process (drafting, writing, editing) with clear and concise language incorporating plain language principles, excellent grammar, and punctuation for both public and corporate clients.
- Utilize knowledge of business writing formats (emails, memos, letters, reports) to guide student skill development.
- Conduct Time Management Essentials courses for both public and corporate clients.
- Provide student support, offer feedback on assignments, and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Revise curriculum, design learning activities, and teaching plans for optimal student engagement.
- Create a dynamic learning environment within the classroom setting.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and Continuing Education Consultant in a cooperative team environment.
- Required Qualifications
- Hold an Education degree with an emphasis on English or Business Education, or possess a University degree in English or Business with relevant business experience. Other communication degrees will be considered with applicable work background.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of business writing principles and processes, including various communication formats like letters, emails, reports, and memos.
- Proven experience in conducting time management workshops with a practical approach.
- Apply adult education principles to facilitate learners effectively.
- Possess excellent presentation skills and familiarity with Canadian Press Style.
- Prior teaching experience in a business/industry context is a plus.
- Intermediate proficiency in using Zoom and Teams is required.
