Job Summary
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a qualified Paramedic Instructor to teach and demonstrate related skills in a continuing education setting.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare the learning environment and supplies prior to the start of each session
- Teach and demonstrate emergency health care skills to students
- Provide scenarios and answer student questions to facilitate learning
- Administer performance skill testing as required
- Completion of an Advanced Care Paramedic program from an approved school
- Minimum of two years' experience as an EMT-P/ACP
- Current license with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics
- Understanding of adult education principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience facilitating Emergency Health Care students in a preceptor-based practicum
- Demonstrated ability to value diversity
- Preference given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty
- Baccalaureate degree in a related field of study
