Job Duties Job Duties
• Generate scheduled and ad-hoc Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) reports encompassing various aspects such as current and historical enrolment data and trends, application data, fill rates, retention reports, early leaver reports, etc.

• Collaborate on SEM-related projects by providing essential data support, including the preparation of lists for surveys, program and school-specific data, and contributing to data initiatives and committees in support of the Strategic Enrolment Management Plan.

• Advance the implementation of business analytics software to transform data into business intelligence (i.e., creating filterable dashboards to show performance metrics and trends, providing training to data dashboard users etc.)

• Provide secondary research services such as environmental scans, benchmarking, etc.

• Develop statistical reports to support program review

• Serve as a key institutional data steward, maintaining expertise regarding institutional data, data definitions and business reporting rules; undertaking data validation in legacy and reporting databases; managing data quality; documentation; and ensuring data access and delivery to clients.

• Serve as official releasor for student statistics, program data and performance metrics

• Lead primary research (survey) activities of the Institutional Research & Analysis Office

• Other administrative services as required to support IR&A office (i.e., procedures documentation, staff training, development of reference materials, intranet page maintenance) QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA) Bachelor's degree with statistical research knowledge (i.e., Commerce, Psychology, Economics or Statistics, or related discipline), or an equivalent combination of training and experience in an institutional research environment.Minimum of three years' experience working in an institutional research environmentTechnically proficient, with training in or experience using business analytics – data transformation and visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, Cognos, Argos, etc.);Experience in the use of statistical software (i.e., SPSS – Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data collection, analysis and reporting;Experience in extracting and working with large datasets from an Oracle database environment (i.e., Oracle Discoverer, SQL, Microsoft Access) would be an asset;Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating ability to interpret, summarize and present value-added information in a clear and concise manner;Proven project management skills;Ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritizing and performing multiple tasks within time constraints and through interruptions;Proven critical thinking and problem solving skills;Data stewardship focus, demonstrating attention to detail and quality assurance;Strong interpersonal skills, working well within a team environment and across departments;Demonstrates valuing diversity.
