This position involves a 50/50 Hybrid setup - working both from home and the office.

Proficiency in English and French is necessary as the role entails supporting and collaborating with team members from various Canadian provinces.

Primary Function:

Join our exceptional Inside Sales team that caters to customers nationwide through our extensive inventory, Keepstock Inventory Management, user-friendly e-Commerce platform, and local branches across Canada.

Main responsibilities include focusing on small-medium businesses, adding value to existing key accounts, and strategically expanding market share. We offer comprehensive training upon onboarding and continuous support to ensure your success.

Ability to collaborate across departments with our Commercial Sales and National Accounts teams.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of small-medium size accounts, including National Accounts and contract customers
  • Create sales plans and expand customer contacts to effectively promote Grainger's value proposition, driving profitable sales growth and maximizing portfolio value
  • Devise account penetration strategies, including conducting regular business reviews with key customers to boost sales
  • Stay informed about market trends and leverage available resources to promptly respond to changes in customers' businesses
  • Set priorities for customers and the market, devising a strategic action plan to achieve sales targets
  • Plan calls, execute the sales process, and utilize CRM tools strategically
  • Use the Sales Management System to grasp customer needs and offer cost-effective solutions to enhance customer spending and loyalty
  • Document, analyze, and assess the impact of customer-centric activities to increase productivity and sales in the assigned market
  • Adhere to company sales and pricing policies

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of customer service experience required, sales experience is an advantage
  • A post-secondary education is preferred
  • Ability to listen, build trust, and effectively conclude actions, projects, resolutions, or sales with customers
  • Clearly articulate business drivers, comprehend key financial concepts, and grasp total cost of ownership with all levels of the organization
  • Business acumen related to sales forecasting, opportunity management, and customer planning
  • Technological proficiency and awareness to communicate in today's business landscape, including experience with Salesforce
  • Use sales processes to address customer objections/concerns and identify suitable solutions
  • Maintain a plan of action until desired results are achieved
  • Display strong process discipline and align planning objectives with pipeline development to grow and enhance market revenue
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Repair & Operations (MRO) products and their applications is an asset
