The Nature Trust of British Columbia is a leading non-profit land conservation organization dedicated to protecting critical habitat for wildlife, fish, and plants in BC.

- or full-time temporary contract position based in Vancouver, B.C. The Database Specialist will report directly to the Director of Finance, for a 4-6 month term, with a possibility of contract extension.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with completing set up and configuration of NXT
- Provide guidance on functionality in NXT
- Assist in optimizing use of NXT features
- Ongoing meetings with Nature Trust staff to understand how Raiser's Edge NXT is currently being used, and identify organizational needs
- Lead set up of reports, workflows, forms, dashboards, etc.
- Recommend procedures for regular data clean up, and for ensuring data completeness and accuracy
- Assist with migration from Constant Contact to NXT for enews
- Provide coaching to Nature Trust staff
- Create NXT process documentation specific to Nature Trust
- Create constituent records as required
- Enter gift records (~200+ gifts per month, including ~100 recurring gifts)
- Prepare donation receipts
- Generate reports for management as requested
- Extensive knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT
- Ability to analyze organizational needs, provide options and recommendations for optimal NXT use, and lead implementation of database updates
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Must be legally allowed to work in Canada
- The hourly rate for this role is $30$35 per hour.
- We are conveniently located close to Burrard, Granville, and Waterfront stations, and offer a hybrid work environment. Remote work is possible.
- A flexible schedule is possible, with a preference for regular office hours at least 50% of time.
