JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team.

As a key member of the Procurement team, you will be responsible for in-coming and out-going sales order processing and documentation, including generating delivery/shipping documents, RMA's and manual ship requests.


MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Liaise and schedule with internal and external transport companies/departments for timely incoming/outgoing shipments
  • Liaise with internal customs team and external customs brokers
  • Ensure prompt and accurate declaration of permits and prompt delivery and clearance of shipments
  • Help investigate and action all nonconformance and recommend corrective actions
  • Supporting receiving as necessary

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use JD Edwards software to process shipments to customers
  • Use couriersupplied software to process shipments of small packages
  • Prepare customs documentation
  • Work with production team to ensure all shipments are prioritized and shipped in a timely manner
  • Ensure all shipments are loaded safely for transit and match paperwork
  • Utilize Customer Business systems (inputting ASN notifications)
  • Create shipping labels as needed using barcode/2D/AIAG standards
  • Support, when necessary, with crating and packaging of shipment
  • Prepare manual packing slips for noninventory shipments
  • Load finished goods into storage organize goods as needed
  • Ship using FIFO method
  • Contact carriers as needed
  • Accurate and secure storage of materials in location
  • Maintain supplies of shipping materials
  • Maintain professional attitude in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Create invoices and packing slips using JD Edwards System
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Ability to prioritize and organize time throughout the day
  • Detail oriented

Additional Information:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Grade 12 education

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a high paced, highvolume warehouse and shipping environment
  • Current/up to date tow truck certification
  • Transacting shipments in ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems
  • Working knowledge of HS Codes and other applicable customs documentation requirements
  • Documentation skills
  • Experience using label making software with various couriers and packaging machinery
