AGS is looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our dynamic organization. This role is located in our plant in Cambridge, Ontario.

BASIC FUNCTION:


Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, coordinating with the Shipping/receiving and Materials departments with the distribution of our product; and ensuring customer requirements are met and exceeded.


MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to procedures and instructions.

Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions, practices, and ensures that good safety processes are included in all activities. Ensure the Standards of Section 28 of the OHSA are met.

Responsible for inventory control within QAD which consists of:

  • Performing cycle counts on finished good & dunnage, enter Initial counts, root cause identification and correct action. Ensure quantities are available to meet customer requirements.
  • Verify accuracy for BOM, item master setup, customer / subcontractor setup accuracy
  • Customer accum maintenance
  • Issue Supplier schedules and manage the subcontractor/outside processing inventories and accurate shipping documents
  • ASN accuracy for all applicable shipments
  • Review QAD action messages
  • Ensure all inventory targets (Customer finished goods) are achieved
  • Responsible for maintaining customer ratings and act as customer service
  • Maintain the customer web sites (SMART, GMCCA, HINO, VASCORE, CLIPS, NAVISTAR)
  • Interact with AGS sales to ensure all PO/contracts with customers are valid
  • Ensure all additional packaging/service charges procedures are understood and followed
  • Ensure customer requirements are received daily and weekly and all communications on shipments are made in a timely manner
  • Responsible for prompt and effective communication of any issues with meeting the customer schedule with internal levels of management and appropriate contact person at customer location
  • Tracking service shipments by customer by part via spreadsheet for clear visibility
  • Act as backup for shipping
  • Perform various audits as assigned (LPA/FIFO/INVENTORY)
  • Participation in 5's Gemba walks and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Responsible to ensure customer requirements are met through the effective management of finished goods inventory, systems, and resources.


Ensure customer requirements are received weekly and daily and all communication on shipments made are generated on a timely basis.


Responsible for the effective communications of any problems with meeting customer schedules (including issues related to raw and subcontractor suppliers) to appropriate contact person at customer locations and also with internal levels of management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing and related processes, including customer shipping requirements, production scheduling and raw materials

Grade 12 and five years or more of experience in a computerized materials management / production environment

Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills

Good computer skills and knowledge of the relevant software
