We are looking for an experienced
Project Consultant to support our Planning and Strategic Initiatives Team within our Capital Development Department based at our
Mount Sinai Hospital Campus.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of the physical space(s) at Sinai Health that will support the next generation of patient-centred care.

Planning and Strategic Initiatives is devoted to the strategic short and long-term planning of space, projects and people.

To be successful in this role, you will possess knowledge and experience in one or more of the following project planning and management, business development, health system planning, capital strategy and planning, stakeholder engagement or client service experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.

As a key member of the Planning and Strategic Initiatives Team, the Project Consultant will work closely with key clinical leaders, as well as external consultants to support large capital strategic initiatives and ensure deliverables adhere to the relevant regulations including the MOH Capital Planning Manual and MLTC regulations.


Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Strategic Initiatives, the Project Consultant supports the planning, managing, organizing, monitoring and orchestrating of large strategic capital projects across all sites of Sinai Health.

The Project Consultant will be a key team member of the Sinai Health Facilities and Capital Development team primarily supporting the planning for Sinai Health's next major capital projects.

These projects involve reimagining Sinai Health's program and services in redeveloped spaces in over 30% (+300,000sqft) of the existing Mount Sinai Hospital facility, and in the future development of the Sinai Health campuses.

The Project Consultant will support the team by coordinating and assisting with Long Term Care (LTC) and master planning activities including liaising with user groups; researching, preparing, reviewing documents and presentations and implementing project related assignments.


Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization, monitoring, and orchestration of multiple project work streams, including research, translation of key external information into stakeholderfacing presentations, and strategic planning.
  • Support creating comprehensive presentations to stakeholders, incorporating data analysis, research and strategic insights
  • Utilize project management and change management skills to contribute to achieving deliverables, timelines, and milestones, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical and nonclinical programs and services, departments, integrated interprofessional teams, and working groups, frontline staff, and physicians.
  • Utilize healthcare expertise to support stakeholder engagement and contribute to identifying needs for advancing the organization's physical space, with a focus on patientcentered care, patient safety, best practices, and infection prevention and control standards.
  • Engage with patients, advisors, community members, and staff to evaluate program and service needs, investigate future healthcare trends, and assist in making highlevel recommendations.
  • Support tracking budget spend, commitments, forecast, and costtodate for projects.
  • Perform other positionrelated duties as required.


Job Requirements
  • Successful completion of a University Degree or College Diploma, preferably in Planning, Business, or a Clinical/Health-Related area.
  • Combination of education and experience in healthcare in a hospital setting within the past 24 years.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and methodologies required. Project Management Professional/Certificate (PMP) designation is considered an asset.
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting and possess strong leadership and communication skills.
