Drives the strategic planning and analytics processes for ERPM. Assemble key insights and deliver recommendations to senior ERPM leaders. Build financial/analytics models to project the impact of strategic decisions and projects.

Link strategic priorities and goals with ongoing operations and projects to ensure ERPM is directing its resources to the right places at the right time.

Analyzes market trends, global competitors and conducts scenario planning as input to strategic planning. Supports the business leader by running strategy meetings and preparing presentations for various audiences across BMO.

  • Support strategic resource planning processes by creating clear linkage between activities and costs.
  • Validate and quantify full potential of initiatives underway, and perform deep dives to uncover new opportunities.
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.

  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
  • Prepares strategic presentations for use in strategic planning processes.
  • Coordinates and organizes meetings for the strategic planning processes.
  • Analyzes market trends and global competitors to inform strategic planning for the designated business group.
  • Conducts scenario planning to help inform senior leaders on the range of strategic choices.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprisewide focus.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles nonroutine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 7 years of relevant experience and postsecondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
