Job Duties

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality management system in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards as well as maintain our ABSA \ ASME Certifications.
  • Regularly maintain and update ISNet to promote our QHSE program to potential clients.
  • Implement quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing process to ensure product consistency and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure inspections are carried out on products utilizing calibrated equipment and appropriately trained staff to ensure high quality items are produced at all times.
  • Perform audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Facilitate internal and external quality audits, addressing any nonconformities and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record of Non-Conformance as well as their associated corrective actions.
  • Perform related duties

Health, Safety, Environment:

  • Ensure a safe working environment for all employees
  • Develop a Health and Safety Program in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation that is inline with the Manufacturers Health and Safety program.
  • Maintain our Partners in Injury Reduction and Certificate of Recognition.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and emergency procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes and implement preventative measure to avoid recurrence.
  • Implement and manage all related aspects of the Health and Safety Program across all facilities.
  • Development of sitespecific Safety Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Subcontractor Orientations and Prime Contractor requirements
  • Facilitate and conduct internal and external audits as required.
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and identify opportunities for improvement in waste reduction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement sustainable practices and initiatives aimed at reducing our carbon footprint.

Estimation:

  • Assist with the estimation of project costs related to Westfab bids.
  • Prepare quantity takeoff for labor and material costing as required.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or certificate in Quality or HSE related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong solutionfocused approach, capability to implement, and persistency to followup activities to ensure sustainability and quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and problemsolving abilities
  • Must be driven, structured, results oriented with a positive and professional attitude
  • Ability to develop, coach and mentor others

Work Conditions

  • Travel may be required.
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Overtime as required.
  • Work is performed in a combination of environments.
