We are seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team and contribute to our mission of spreading joy in people's daily lives. Brightfield is a company specializing in sustainable home fragrances located in the Beach area of Toronto. Our focus is on crafting artisanal candles, reed diffusers, and room sprays. As proud members of 1% for the Planet, we donate a portion from each candle sale to Second Harvest, providing meals to those in need in our community. About the Role

As the Marketing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in elevating our brand to new heights. This position is a blend of creativity, strategy, and hands-on work. You will thrive in our small team, taking the lead on various projects, platforms, and marketing tactics. Reporting directly to our Founder/CEO, you will work closely with them to oversee all marketing aspects such as content creation, community building, SEO, PR, email marketing, and B2B lead generation support. While most of the role is remote, you will also participate in face-to-face events with the team periodically to enhance sales and marketing efforts.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead marketing strategies and produce high-quality content for social media, blog posts, website, and other channels
  • Foster communities with customers, influencers, and partners. Manage online platforms creatively to nurture and expand our community
  • Enhance our SEO through various techniques to increase brand visibility
  • Drive PR initiatives by crafting pitches, coordinating activities, and monitoring outcomes
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, flows, and enhance sales and customer engagement
  • Identify suitable B2B leads, conduct outreach, and monitor progress to grow accounts and revenue
  • Optimize e-commerce performance metrics and results
  • Participate in in-person events to represent the brand, boost sales, and provide exceptional customer experiences. These events include markets and trade shows periodically throughout the year

Requirements and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of marketing experience in consumer goods, e-commerce, or retail
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales and revenue growth
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in graphic design and creating diverse content
  • Self-motivated, capable of excelling in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and reliability
  • Results-driven, creative, and collaborative
  • Keen learner who incorporates best practices and data trends
  • Based in Toronto area and available for in-person events and team activities
  • Passionate about contributing to the growth of a purpose-driven brand
  • Preference given to candidates with a passion for home fragrance
