THE ROLE

The Director, Employer Onboarding leads the team accountable for the successful onboarding of pension administration for new employers in the university sector to UPP.

The Director is involved at every step of the process, starting when a University group expresses interest in converting their Single Employer Pension Plan to UPP.

Following a successful conversion to UPP's pension administration system and setup activities for the employer and members, the Director leads the transition to business-as-usual activities with the Pension Services teams approximately six months after the conversion date.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Pension Services, this role will build strong and trusted relationships with university administrators, faculty associations and unions, and with Pension Services' internal and external support partners.

The Director, Employer Onboarding will represent Pension Services while working collaboratively with our Engagement team when speaking about joining UPP and setting clear and realistic expectations for the transition from a SEPP to UPP.

Once a University has member consent to join UPP, the Director will play a key role in ensuring the efficient conversion of data and plan set up is in place.

In their first year, the Director will work directly with UPP's founding universities to ensure the smooth and timely transition of pension administration activities in 2024.

UPP is based in Toronto's financial district and has a hybrid work model (~2 days / week in office). This role will require occasional travel within Ontario.
