Laboratory Technician

The Lab Technician provides chemical preparation and analytical testing and reporting services. The lab technician will ensure that testing is done in a timely manner, while following all standard operating procedures. The lab technician will keep the lab clean and free from sources of contamination.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working and coordinating closely with production, R&D, and quality teams
  • Receiving, preparing, and analyzing samples from both experiment and production
  • Conducting tests with different laboratory instruments
  • Maintaining various types of laboratory equipment
  • Handling oxides, metals, chemicals, compressed gas and other materials
  • Carrying out administrative tasks such as maintaining lab records, documenting procedures, and preparing other related documents.
PREPARATION TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of a BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related science
  • At least 1 year(s) experience in chemistry or related labs.
Minimum 1 year(s) ICP-OES or ICP-MS experience

PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent communication, selfdriven, and detailoriented skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Being familiar with laser particle size analyzer and BET surface area analyzer would be great assets.

Salary:
From $60,000.00 per year
