Overview:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment throughout the facility. Actively contribute to a positive and productive working environment.

  • Coordinate the maintenance of the building services to maintain continuity of operations, minimize disruption to organizational activities and continually improve the sustainability of building operations.
  • Test and inspect building fire system, generators, dock levelers, trailer restraints, dock doors and HVAC system to ensure effective operation
  • Conduct minor repairs to dock levelers, trailer restraints, dock doors, heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and lighting systems
  • Work with the Maintenance Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory codes, manufacturer's requirements, industry practices and company Policies and Procedures
  • Clean and sanitize offices, coolers, and and dock area to be compliant with our Food Safety Program
  • Contribute to the efficient daytoday maintenance operation of the entire Spoke location supporting the entire delivery operations team.

Job Requirements:

  • Time management skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • High School Diploma
  • A Minimum of one year experience in an industrial setting
  • Certified to operate mobile equipment
  • Previous experience in a retail support centre an asset
  • Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Occasionally lift over 88 lbs
  • Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Possible exposure to extreme temperatures
  • Alertness to other people and vehicles
  • Various shifts including evenings and weekends
