About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Worker Supervisor to join our team at Avon Building Maintenance Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of maintenance workers and ensure that they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement plans for the maintenance of our grounds, including landscaping, gardening, and other related tasks.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Prepare estimates for maintenance projects and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other related projects.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and ensure that all necessary documentation is up to date.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and ensure that all necessary repairs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: Procure all necessary materials, equipment, and supplies for maintenance projects.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot maintenance issues and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed on time.

  • Canadian Nursery Landscape Association (CNLA) certification
