Y Mind Co-Facilitator
Wage:
$31 to $33 per hour
Benefits:
YMCA Membership; discount on childcare (excluding infant/ toddler); 6%
vacation pay, paid training
Hours:
Part-time, 4-6 hours per week during program delivery with an opportunity for
additional hours. Options for up to three 7-week cycles before end of June
Location:
Prince George (delivery may be in-person or virtual)
About the
Program:
The YMCA Y Mind Program helps young people experiencing symptoms of mild
to moderate anxiety to learn healthy coping strategies and connect with like
- minded youth in a safe and encouraging group environment
Responsibilities of this role:
-
Work with another facilitator to deliver the Y Mind Program:
Intake and assessment of program participants, both in-person and by Zoom:
Participate in planning, information sessions, assessment, evaluation, and follow-up:
Must be available for prep and debriefing of all sessions, including information sessions:
Keep accurate records and provide statistics and other relevant information to coordinator:
Maintain a solid understanding of available resources and provide information, support, and
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably Masters level education in a mental health field,
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations, both spoken and written
- Three professional references and clear Criminal Record Check***
