Health Information Management Director

Northern Health Authority is seeking a seasoned Health Information Management Director to lead our team in delivering high-quality health information management services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of strategies to improve health information management practices across our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of health information management professionals in delivering HIM services, including registration, release of information, records management, and health informatics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve health information management practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize HIM projects, ensuring effective project management and timely delivery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying knowledge to inform HIM strategies and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in health information science or a related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible HIM experience.
- Proven track record of leading change and implementing organizational improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage relationships with strategic partners and solution providers.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and respond with initiative.
