The Universal Group has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Talent Strategies Manager, the Talent Acquisition Specialist partners with the Human Resources group and internal clients to drive forward our purpose of providing Peace of Mind to our clients and our employees. The Role

Talent Acquisition Specialists play a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates to join our company. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies, building a strong talent pipeline, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

What you will do:

Candidate Screening & Interview Coordination
  • Review resumes and applications to identify candidates that meet the required qualifications for both union and non-union positions
  • Conduct initial phone screens and assessments to evaluate candidates' suitability for specific roles
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams
  • Provide guidance and support to interviewers to ensure a structured and effective interview process
Recruitment Strategy
  • Utilize various sourcing methods such as job boards, social media, networking, and industry events to identify and engage potential candidates
  • Proactively build and maintain a diverse talent pipeline for current and future openings
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive recruitment strategies that align with the company's goals and values
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the company's employer brand by creating compelling job postings, engaging content, and fostering positive interactions with candidates
  • Assist with the creation and distribution of internal communication for vacant positions
Candidate Experience
  • Ensure a positive and seamless candidate experience from initial contact through the entire recruitment process
  • Provide timely communication, feedback, and updates to candidates
  • When applicable, consider candidates for different positions based on their skills and qualifications
Compliance and Diversity
  • Ensure adherence to relevant labor laws and regulations while promoting diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the recruitment process.
Market Research & Data Analysis
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor practices, and emerging recruitment technologies to continuously improve the talent acquisition process
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or Recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment, preferably 2+ years
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of modern recruiting practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software.
  • Experience with employer branding and social media recruitment is a plus.
