Outside Sales Representative

Status:
Full Time Permanent

Position Overview:
As a growing manufacture, we are seeking an Outside Sales Representative that will be responsible for landing new customers.

The ideal person for this role is someone who takes comfort in self-starting, wants the ability to work autonomously, and has the "hunting" instinct to go out and sell.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build pipeline, generate leads and execute performance to ensure achievement across target goals.
  • Proactively contact existing customers regarding pending projects, quotes and future orders.
  • Contact and visit prospective customers to introduce the company, our products, services and strengths.
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations and competitor products and prices.
  • Directly manage multiple accounts ensuring excellence in execution and service.
  • Prospect call preparation including company background research and other pertinent lead information.
  • Provide quotes to customers and feedback to the company.
  • Identify customer's buying trends and provide reports to management.
  • Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities.
  • Meet monthly sales objectives.
  • Perform additional assignments and duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • 35 years of sales/marketing experience.
  • Postsecondary education sales or marketing
  • Good technical knowledge in the construction supply environment
  • Have the ability to adapt to change easily.
  • Positive and professional attitude to close big deals, and at times work outside of office hours.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills as demonstrated by an ability to handle multiple priorities, problem solve, and meet tight deadlines and targets.
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong negotiations skills in direct sales.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Some overnight travel is required.
  • Ability to travel daily to customers sites.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driver's record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for an entire 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 80lbs
  • Must be able to walk for up to 30 minutes

Hours:
The normal hours of work at 40 hours per week; however, some non-standard hours may apply
