The NSFA tackles policy issues that impact the competitive and sustainable nature of the industry and takes an active role in supporting registered farms through the delivery of programs and services.
The NSFA supports farms by providing tools, resources, best practices, and training while advocating on their behalf.
The NSFA, in collaboration with Farm Safety Nova Scotia, is seeking a Farmer Wellness Coordinator (FWC) to support a culture within the Nova Scotia farm community where mental health and well-being are valued, prioritized, and protected.
The FWC will coordinate the delivery of support and resources needed to foster and promote mental health and wellness throughout the farm community.
The FWC will make recommendations to leadership on mental health and wellness programming to be developed and delivered. The FWC will promote mental health and wellness as essential to total farm health and sustainability.
