Who are we looking for?


We are looking for positive, energetic and professional Activity and Co-op Coordinator to plan and lead our after-school activities for our ESL students, as well as to counsel students on the co-op portion of their program and find them suitable co-op placements.


What you will be doing:
- planning activities and creating a monthly activity calendar
- taking the students on trips to local sites and taking part in activities
- engaging with the students in English
- finding co-op placements for students
- helping students to create cover letters and resumes, and to prepare for interviews
- counseling students on how to prepare for their co-op placement and assisting them throughout their placement
- helping with some administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Local knowledge of Kelowna and the surrounding area
  • Good use working of English
  • 12 years of related experience

You also bring:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of organization and punctuality
  • A dynamic, vibrant and fun personality, while maintaining highest levels of respect towards other cultures
  • Energy and enthusiasm combined with strong interpersonal skills
  • First aid training and/or lifeguard training (asset)
  • Previous experience with international students (asset)

Job Types:

$17.50-$24.00 per hour
