Access Management Coordinator
Fixed-Term Contract - 12 Months
Mississauga, ON

Card Access

Administer the North America card access system for Day & Ross:

  • Working with terminals for initial upload of employees into system.
  • Activation/Deactivation of access badges for all Day & Ross facilities/terminals at present that have a C-Cure access control system (over 7000 active individuals).
  • Working with terminals to construct/alter their security required clearances and schedules.
  • Be liaison to the terminals for any maintenance and service requests relating to the card access system with security service providers. ie. Card readers, doors, door equipment, gates etc.
  • Administer North America photo identification badge program. Working with the terminals to get all employees and drivers photos taken. Uploading and printing the photo identification badges and shipping them to respective terminals.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of system (making sure terminals are up to date with terminations, lost/stolen cards, correct categorization etc.

CCTV

  • Check camera's daily for any issues i.e. offline cameras, nonrecording cameras (for over 44 facilities and over 1600 cameras currently monitored by Security Team).
  • If issues are detected reach out to terminal managers and manage service requests between security provider and terminal.
  • Making sure camera licenses are renewed (paid) before they expire (yearly).
  • Routinely watch playback of video when assisting in investigations.
Investigations


Investigations can involve missing freight, Code of Conduct, non-compliance to protocols, harassment, drug/alcohol, theft (customer or employee), violence, fraud, trespass and etc.


  • Upload investigation summaries, findings and reports into Security database ThinkLP.
  • May assist Loss Prevention Manager, Internal Audit Manager, AVP of Security/Internal Audit with investigations whether that be by being a witness in interviews, helping to prepare interviews with research, or even conducting or coconducting interviews themselves.
  • Routinely utilize both the card access system and
    CCTV cameras in assisting with investigations.
Loss Prevention

  • Assisting with security policy, guideline, protocol and standards creation and implementation.
  • Remaining present and aware with ever changing security industry standards and equipment etc.
Finances

  • Vetting, dispersing and/or submitting all invoices having to do with card access system,
    CCTV system, and capex's into Coupa or to the appropriate terminal for payment processing.
  • Submitting my own work related expenses.
Intrusion

  • Monitor that that the intrusion systems are being armed regularly at those facilities with dark hours and that have no onsite security personnel.
  • Manage any service calls regarding intrusions systems.
  • Update call listings.

Skills and Experience

  • Postsecondary education in business administration or related security programs
  • Minimum of secondary education, with preference of postsecondary education or a combination of education and experience
  • Previous Transportation or operational experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in corporate security and with security systems
  • Ability to deal with highly confidential situations and events
  • Agile and thorough learner, recognizing and adapting to continuously changing conditions
  • Communication skills advanced both written and spoken
