Job Number:49277**Reporting to the Supervisor of Bus Facilities Maintenance, this position will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Bus Facilities group within the Edmonton Transit Service (ETS).

  • Provide administrative support to the Bus Facilities Group
  • Prepare and proofread various formal documentation such as letters, memos and spreadsheets
  • Attend technical meetings to take, organize and share minutes
  • Organize, update and maintain file systems and databases for various types of information and documentation especially for projects
  • First point of contact for ETS Davies Garage. Answering phone for building access, ensuring signins and singouts, responding to citizen inquiries
  • Enter data into SAP which can also include creating and updating plant maintenance orders
  • Support time entry and assist with the completion of audits

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of diverse and varied experience in an office environment including performing high volume data entry, providing reception and administrative support and maintaining files and record systems
  • Experience working in a technical office handling engineering, financial and/or maintenance information
  • Experience with ordering materials and working with purchase orders
  • Experience and training in POSSE, SLIM, SAP, CACTIS and CAT2 system
  • Excellent proofreading skills (grammar, punctuation, spelling) with a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a focus on time management and balancing competing priorities
