Leads and Directs Enterprise Compliance Functions

This position oversees the compliance functions within non-revenue generating areas of the Bank and ensures alignment with the Bank-wide risk management policies. The role has a global mandate across all jurisdictions where the Bank operates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads a global team responsible for the design and implementation of the Enterprise Compliance Program
  • Provides oversight for compliance in Corporate Areas, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Develops strategies to promote a proactive regulatory compliance culture and assesses the effectiveness of compliance programs
  • Maintains knowledge of regulatory standards and advises on compliance practices
  • Collaborates with risk management partners to integrate compliance into overall risk management
  • Participates in leadership committees and ensures compliance programs are fit for purpose on an enterprise-wide basis
  • Provides input for governance decisions and supports a culture of risk awareness and management
  • Drives customer focus and fosters a high-performance culture within the organization
Qualifications:
  • Academic qualifications ideally with LL.B, MBA, CFA, or relevant business degree
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Risk/Compliance in the financial services industry
  • Understanding of global regulatory standards impacting Compliance Programs
  • Strong analytical and leadership skills with the ability to build positive relationships

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Type: Salaried

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 CAD to $220,000 CAD and may vary based on location, experience, and qualifications. The total compensation package includes performance-based incentives, bonuses, health insurance, and retirement savings plans.
