We're looking for a Manager, Marketing Events and Programs to join the MCAN's Marketing team Interested candidates are encouraged to apply along with the detailed Cover Letter and CV .

Job Summary:

The Manager , Marketing Events and Programs will work under the direction of the Director, Corporate Branding & Marketing.

What you will be responsible for:

  • The Events and Programs Manager is responsible for the design, delivery and optimization of the MCAN Home partner experience from demand generation through strategic brand awareness initiatives and tactical, targeted content and campaign development related to events and programs.
  • This role requires strong planning, creative and analytic skills, deep understanding of the tools required to execute efficiently and on budget. The role assumes above average communication skills foundational to successful planning, design and analysis of content across all target channels including SEO blog copy, social posts, sales enablement assets and landing pages.
  • The Events and Programs Manager will support at the corporate level all digital marketing initiatives, working closely with the Director, Corporate Marketing to manage high-profile projects and develop the MCAN brand in target markets.
  • Overall, a successful Events and Programs Manager must possess a blend of technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking to effectively plan, execute, and optimize events and programs that align with MCAN Financial Group's objectives and deliver exceptional experiences for partners and clients.

The work experience, skills, education that you bring to the role:

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media or equivalent or post-secondary education in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience :

  • 5-7 years of experience in event planning and management, encompassing logistical coordination, budgeting, lead management and marketing automation tools proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations and administrative processes is essential.
  • Experience in mortgage industry or financial services preferred.
  • Knowledge of AODA/accessibility and CASL requirements.
  • Experienced working with Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset.

Skills :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for building and maintaining relationships with partners, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  • Leadership skills are necessary for managing cross-functional teams and driving program success.
  • Problem-solving skills are vital for addressing challenges that may arise during event planning and execution.
  • Adaptability and flexibility are also key, enabling the individual to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while creativity and attention to detail are essential for developing engaging event experiences and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
