As a Business System Analyst, you will participate in all aspects of the software delivery life cycle (SDLC), except development, of one of the most important Risk Platforms worldwide, OMDM-Decision Modeler.

You will analyze business and user needs, documenting requirements and translating them into proper systems requirement specifications, and the assessment of the risk and quality of changes and enhancements to the mentioned system.

You will not only get the opportunity to grow and learn from experts, but also to lead and control some phases of our projects to enhance your leadership and project management skills.


What will you do?

  • Participate in almost all aspects of a SDLC (Requirements, Analysis, Design, Test, Production deployment and support).
  • Independently resolve complex, multifaceted problems to meet the business needs of the Retail and PYME Risk Areas of Scotiabank, particularly in Chile, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama and Uruguay.
  • Rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis that provides interim deliverables until a final production solution is created.
  • Manage multiple small projects and/or lead specific sections of large projects to implement solutions to business problems.
  • Work collectively within a dynamic team to actively participate and lead configurations and support of Risk Systems solutions deployment in accordance with designs.
  • Work with Scotiabank infrastructure teams to maintain and support infrastructure and services under management
  • Lead root cause analysis to inscope systems, identify improvements, and drive to implementation.
  • Develop operational plans, processes, and procedures to improve service delivery and resiliency
  • Support production issues and handle escalations during the day as well as offhours.

What do you need to succeed?

  • You've been a business system analyst in a large product team and seen how different components of a complex architecture come together to deliver a product.
  • You are passionate about analyzing, testing, and delivering highly available, reliable, and scalable enterprise systems.
  • You are proficient in leading small projects, since the requirements phase to production support.
  • You have indepth knowledge of project management techniques and are proficient in their use.
  • You have experience in Unit Testing, such as familiarity with SOAP UI and Postman.
  • You are an excellent communicator, planner and visioner, able to influence decision making across stakeholders.
  • You have competency to lead team members with differing opinions and levels of experience.
  • You can map and execute short
- and long-term plans for the team.
