CP Distributors has a current opening for an ambitious Human Resources Generalist in Saskatoon for Corporate Branch Support, that will work closely with all our branches across Canada. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible to:

  • Provide guidance of employment standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and supporting all aspects of the HR lifecycle to enhance overall organizational effectiveness;
  • Remain current with legislation and best practices across the organizational regions;
  • Remain apprised of current trends in human resources and employee engagement;
  • Comprehensive recruitment, including collaborating with hiring managers to create job descriptions, pre-screen interviews, developing, and executing strategic plans to attract best candidates, hire and retain employees while growing a pipeline to enable growth;
  • Execute talent acquisition process including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) management and reporting of people analytics;
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with hiring managers, providing strategic guidance and advice as a trusted partner;
  • Conducting exit interviews, ensuring a smooth transition for departing employees;
  • Providing support in payroll, as required;
  • Assist with international recruitment, including LMIA applications;
  • HR administrative assistance ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations;
  • Work in a variety of HR functional areas and participate in special projects;
  • Flexible support role, undertake additional tasks as needed.

Your Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of generalist experience in human resources and full cycle recruitment;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a private enterprise;
  • Prior experience and knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems;
  • Experience with foreign worker recruitment, is considered an asset.

  • General knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, employee engagement, and employee development;
  • Great communication skills with an aptitude for excellence in providing proactive service across the business;
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • General knowledge and skills in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and online networking tools;
  • Dedicated to continuous personal and professional development.
